Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef
An eco-luxe camping retreat set amid the coastal dunes of Cape Range National Park in Western Australia.
Meals are served on the deck or in the lodge and include freshly-baked muffins at breakfast and delicious salads for lunch. In the evening, guests can enjoy pre-dinner canapés and sundowners while watching the sunset from the whale-watching deck, before feasting on a gourmet three-course dinner prepared using quality seasonal local ingredients. Dishes might include pan-fried garlic Exmouth prawns and chocolate and almond torte, served alongside a selection of fine Western Australian wines.
Guests can explore their spectacular surroundings on a range of guided activities, from snorkelling with over 500 species of colourful fish in the Ningaloo Reef to hiking through the gorges of the Cape Range National Park, where you might spot wildlife including red kangaroos, rock wallabies, echidnas and jewel-coloured birds. Excursions can also be arranged out into the ocean beyond the reef, where you can swim with majestic whale sharks, humpback whales, orcas, manta rays and dolphins.
Perched in the dunes about 30 metres from the pristine beach, each of the resort’s nine spacious wilderness tents boasts its own private deck with beautiful views of the dunes and ocean. In-room amenities include comfortable beds with organic cotton linen, a hammock and an eco-ensuite bathroom with handmade soap and eco-friendly toiletries. The camp uses solar power and has no Wi-Fi access or mobile phone reception, so come here for a digital detox with a luxury edge.
